Statement from Director

Dear CEAS Community,

I hope you and your families are all well. As you know the university has announced the closures of most if not all events for the Spring semester. Therefore, CEAS will also suspend all events for the rest of the semester.  This includes the Silk Road Symposium, the North Korea Inside Out conference, the Kite Festival as well as Tea and Talks and invited speakers. We will reschedule these events for Fall 2020.

The most important thing is the health and well being of the university and Lawrence community. This is a challenging time, but we will get through this and CEAS events will continue in Fall. You can follow CEAS information and schedule changes on CEAS web page and social media.

Take Care,

John Kennedy

Director of the Center for East Asian Studies

East Asia Events

All Spring 2020 events have been cancelled or reschuled for Fall 2020 due to the Coronavirus outbreak.
